As one of Europe\u2019s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/group.vattenfall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vattenfall<\/a>\u00a0will build the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">world\u2019s first subsidy-free<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0offshore wind farm.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The scope of work includes the supply of temporary aids to navigation\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">for the wind farm<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. A mix of self-contained marine lanterns and skids featuring fog horns and visibility sensors will ensure safe navigation around the wind farm for the duration of its construction estimated at\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">approximately<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0two years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All systems feature remote monitoring with alarms and status updates\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">available to Vattenfall<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. The first deliveries have taken place and will continue throughout the second and third quarters of 2021.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe are very proud to have been selected to provide advanced aids to navigation and monitoring features for\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">what will be the<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0largest offshore wind farm\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">at the time of completion<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0\u2013 which happens to be\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">located close by our<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0facility in Noordwijk. This equipment will operate autonomously at sea and ensure continuous communication of its status.
